Taffle Meadowspring is a young fae in training to become the next spellsinger of his clan. He enjoys traveling across the land to discover new vistas which serve as inspiration for his music. Taffle has a great talent for weaving music into magick. His journey might seem aimless, at times, but he always ends up exactly where he's needed.

Background
Taffle Meadowspring is a young fae who has been chosen to become the next spellsinger of his clan. Spellsingers are powerful mages who channel magic through music and record the lore, the history and stories, of their clan and the world around them. He's reached the point in his training where he must go out into the world and learn the stories of other culture to broaden his horizons. Taffle hopes to live up to the expectations of his clan, but in the meantime, he's happy to travel the world, to explore, and to learn more about himself along the way.
SKILLS
Adventuring - Novice Level

Having only recently begun his journey, Taffle is still getting used to adventuring alone. He's at least developed a good sense of direction and danger sense, but he has a tendency to get lost in unfamiliar terrain and vastly prepares his creature comforts to roughing it in the wild.
Though he's been trained in combat, Taffle is a pacifist at heart. He is not afraid to come to the aid of others or protect himself, however, and is skilled in a few weapons such as staves, quarterstaves, bladed scarves, slingshots, and boomerangs.
Taffle enjoys food, but has only just begun to learn how to prepare meals. While he understands the basics of meal preparation, he has yet to grasp the concept of flavor.
Languages - Competent Level

Taffle is a native speaker of many faetongues and is well-versed in most common languages. He is adept at learning new languages and often ties in learning langauges to learning corresponding songs from a particular culture.
A spellsinger specializes in both music and storytelling, and while he is expertly versed in the lore of his people and their region of the world, Taffle is a lifelong devotee of lore and history wherever he may find it. He is currently on a journey to learn stories across the realm.
Taffle has been training to be a spellsinger all his life. Due to prolonged training in addition to natural talent, he has mastered most common (and several uncommon) instruments and mutiple styles of singing. He's also an expert in music theory and songwriting.

Taffle is a practiced weaver and tailor, and is able to make quality garments and comfort items.
ABILITIES
Magic: Magic - Enhanced Level
|
Spellsinging is Taffle's very raison d'etre, a unique practice of weaving spells with instruments and singing. In fact, the ancient lore of his clan proclaims that the universe was sung into existence. Even for a fae, Taffle's aptitude and magic potential are great.
Magic: Travel - Enhanced Level
|
Taffle, like many fae, is able to travel across worlds by 'slipping' into the space between realities. He can also move quickly across the physical realm this way, and is capable of opening gates, when necessary, to allow others to travel with him.
ADVANTAGES
Taffle belongs to a close-knit fae clan who are always happy to help him out on his journey. If he ever needs advice or assistance, he has friends he can ask.
Taffle has an enchanted bag for holding his musical instruments and other items, despite their often large size. The opening of it is wondrously, unbelievably stretchy, and somehow he's always able to find what he needs when he reaches into it.
WEAKNESSES
Filled with natural curiosity about the world, Taffle is often more than willing to believe what others tell him, which can lead to profound misunderstandings and sticky situations!
It can be difficult for Taffle to achieve the desired effect with his spells. At times, he must perform complex ritualistic pieces or songs, so when it comes to producing powerful effects, it might take more time than a situation might allow. This can often force Taffle to think creatively about problems and how he might solve them.
