Nick Fox used to be a cop, but he got out of the game once he realized that he was better off on his own. He opened up his own private investigation firm, enabling him to take the cases he wants and go where he wants and do what he wants to do. However he frequently finds himself wrapped up in supernatural cases.
Personality
Nick would like to think of himself as a normal guy. One who doesn't go out of his way to be strange. Yet the things he's seen in the world are hard to ignore. So his curiosity gets the better of him, and he sticks his nose in places it doesn't belong. That's his job as a private eye, after all.
He also really enjoys cooking and listening to music, he's almost never seen without a pair of headphones on him somewhere. Music helps him focus, and helps calm him down, or psych him up, depending on the type of music.
Background
Nick had a pretty normal childhood for a resident of Queen's Cove, the son of a cop and a nurse. He wanted to follow in his father's footsteps, but when he was old enough to do so, found out he didn't really care for the rules in place.
It didn't take him long to quit being a cop and instead establish his own private investigation service. Things seem to go well enough for him after setting it up, even though he's young, he has a good idea of what he's doing.

WEIRDNESS MAGNET - Nick seems to have a tendency to find himself in situations that are strange or unusual, either involving mythological creatures or magic. He may not actively seek these out, but finds himself embroiled in them regardless.
