A vigilante and terrorist who began his career at the ripe old age of 12, Lonnie Machin had a series of run-ins with Batman and family, particularly Tim Drake. While he still holds to his firebrand ideals, Lonnie eventually gave up his terroristic ways, though he remains a grey hat hacker and a persistent thorn in the side of those who he calls "the parasitic elite." After a bad accident and the usurpation of the "Anarky" identity by another foe of Robin's, he seems to have given up the street life, instead operating online as "Moneyspider" in support of Tim Drake; time will tell if he remains retired.

Personality

A hot headed, idealistic, rationalistic firebrand occasionally given to the occasional bout of domestic terrorism in his wilder, younger days. He is deeply committed to saving the world, encouraging people to be the best people they can be, tossing asside all creed, nationalistic, or political divisions. Also known for his bold style choices in hats.

Background

After joining the ranks of Gotham's costumed villainy at the ripe old age of twelve years old, Lonnie Machin earned his stripes as a homegrown terrorist with a series of crimes aimed at, in the newly dubbed Anarky's own words, the "parasitic elite." This, naturally, garnered the attention of Gotham's vigilante protectors, and after several run-ins with them, ended up with Lonnie incarcerated at Arkham Asylum. He later escaped (as most villains do) and tempered his more extreme views so that he could make a more positive impact on the world, but eventually retired wholecloth after his Anarky identity was usurped by some upstart villain. Throughout it all he has maintained the online identity of Moneyspider, which he currently puts to work operating as hacker and offsite support for Timothy Drake, one of the Robins.

ADVANTAGES

COMPUTERS Lonnie is a computer whiz, and has several high-powered computers which he's put together himself. It's a world-class setup, really. Unless you're Batman.

GEAR Lonnie makes his own gear, and has shown himself to be quite adept at it. Things he's known for include knockout gas, tear gas, his own costume equipped with body armor, and a reinforced fighting cane equipped with a high-powered taser.

WEALTH Despite disdaining the ostentatiousness of wealth, Lonnie's got a few million saved up, squirreled away for when he needs it. And he can make money whenever he needs it, just by manipulating the system he loathes.

WEAKNESSES

EX-TERRORIST A 12 year-old terrorist, at that. Lonnie now admits that taking the gambles he did and putting innocent people in the crossfire was an incorrect addition to his methodology, and yet. Buildings blown up. Streets filled with fear. These are things that happened, so much so that it was easy for a genuine malefactor to steal his identity and use it to cause chaos.

UNREASONABLE Though he has mellowed a bit with age, Lonnie is still a firebrand, and he believes power concedes nothing without a demand. As such, he has moments of hotheaded unreasonability--though he would say his anger is entirely appropriate.
