Prince Rann is in many ways the opposite of his older brother, Quinn. While they look much alike and are only a few years apart in age, Rann is much shorter and more baby-faced than his brother, which tends to lead others to take him less seriously. Where Quinn is relaxed and friendly, making others feel comfortable and better about themselves, Rann strives in all things to be his father's son. Newly knighted, he always makes it a point to be seen wearing his armor, and he strives for a serious and regal persona. This can make him seem stiff of manner and pretentious of bearing, which does not always endear him to those around him. While those who know him would say that he has a good heart and means well, his tendency to try a bit too hard to live up to his royal title can make him seem imperious and arrogant to many. Much of this stems from insecurity and a need to prove himself, but unfortunately this is not always easy to tell, as he has a fierce sense of pride and does not like to allow himself to show weakness to anyone, even his father. Perhaps the only one who can truly reach him is his brother, but though Rann loves his brother very much, he does feel very jealous of Quinn much of the time.

Background
Some remember the bright, cheerful soul that was Rann in younger childhood. However, growing up with stories of his father's pursuits as a knight-errant and lacking the natural charisma that made his older brother so loved by all, Rann instead became focused on proving himself as just as worthy and brave a knight as his father.
