Coming from a family of wealthy mages Vittore is talented in some of the more frowned upon branches of magic, much like many of his ancestors were before him. He is a rather stunning young man with an alluring presence to him, however a dark cloud seems to hang over him at times. His cheerful bubbly disposition occasionally turning angry, manipulative and even cruel. Some say its a result of a recent motercycle accident he suffered but those extremely well versed in the arcane will perhaps see more of the truth.
For some reason or other, a very powerful incubus named Larlion resides within Vittore in place of his soul. This is not common knowledge at all and it takes quite a bit of attention to detail or a supernatural awareness to see whats happening. Vittore is forced to feed the demon inside of him and if he does not then they both suffer. If fed by the lust of others then Vittore receives a powerful boost to his magic and his ability to control his magic grows as well.
There is a very faint rumor in Port-Au-Feu where Vittore is from that it wasn't a motorcycle accident he suffered, but an explosion that melted part of his face...yet here he is looking more handsome and radiant than he was before the supposed 'accident' happened...
Personality
Vittore is a cheerful, optimistic and bubbly sort...most of the time. He can also be a flirt and more than a bit naughty on occasion. He enjoys writing, music and art and a good game of basketball. And then there are the strange yet much more rare times when he acts like someone else entirely. Angry, cruel, manipulative. Vittore is none of these things himself, yes he is a flirt but he prefers to tease and do it in good fun rather than to manipulate. Still something suggests that his actions are not entirely his own at times...
Background
The Castells are a wealthy family, known for running several restaurants and a highly successful casino in Port-Au-Feu. They are tight knit as a family and also known in certain circles for having very powerful magic mostly regarding darker arts like summoning, blood magic and fire based magics. It was to this family that Vittore was born. A beloved youngest child and only son, Vittore grew up surrounded by women. His mother was the main figure in his life along with his sisters as his father often chose to work in one of the many family businesses rather than spend time with his family. The abundance of female influence helped Vittore become confident and to take pride in how he looked.
As he grew up Vittore attended private schools doing better in the arts and languages or sports than anything else. He also had at home tutoring in more magical subjects, he showed the most talent in summoning and in illusions or mind related magics. However he was extremely wary of fire, and this literally blew up in his face one day. A mistake in casting a fire spell left his face horribly burned, his once impressive beauty marred. What happened next changed Vittore forever and not in a particularly good way. Driven by vanity and rage at how he looked now, Vittore summoned Larlion, a powerful demon who at least claims to be an incubus.
A deal was made, his soul in exchange for eternal life, youth, and beauty. However Vittore did not read the fine print on his contract, and now he is forced to drain the energy from others through acts of lust or anger in order to feed the demon he made the pact with. The demon is his master and he plays host to it in place of his soul this fact often reflecting in his moods. Vittore had fairly powerful magic even before the deal was made but now as long as the demon is fed his power is even stronger and more easily controlled especially the mind related, blood, and shadow based magics. He refuses to cast another fire spell however. And when the demon hungers for energy the mortal who hosts him also suffers.
He was recently sent to the Queensmouth Academy in Misthaven as a transfer student. His father was upset at what his son had done in the name of vanity and so there Vittore was sent to continue his education in both magic and mundane. To those on the outside of his family he merely had a motorcycle accident and spent time in the hospital, very few in his entire family know the full truth.
Outside Vittore is even more beautiful than he was before the accident and even more alluring. He will live forever and nothing can harm his pretty face ever again. But under that pretty face a far more twisted creature lurks and while Vittore only does what he has to to survive, how long will it be before someone objects to this and brands him as a monster or villain?
Or will he simply become one with the demon inside of him, a beauty turned beast?
SKILLS
CHARM - Expert: He was always rather smooth but now he has a powerful allure to him that he cannot always turn off. His words are often said in a manner that seem suggestive but even if not he tends to be polite and charming most all of the time, when he can manage it.
DANCING - Expert: This is a skill his demon passenger amplifies in order to seduce and lure in victims. Vittore was a skilled dancer even before but now he has the habit of drawing even more attention and his movements seem to always have a seductive edge to them.
DRIVING - Novice: He is a terribly reckless driver. Often speeding and taking dangerous risks just because he can.
EDUCATION - Novice: He is still a high school student and he struggles in math and science.
LANGUAGES - Competent: He speaks English and French fluently
OCCULT KNOWLEDGE - Competent: Vittore grew up learning and getting lessons from several of the mages in his family, his studies include theory and practical knowledge of magic, occult races and thier history, his family history, important facts and people and various other tidbits about the supernatural community.
PIANO - Competent: He plays piano and is actually pretty good, having learned the skill from one of his aunts as a child. He still practices when he can.
WRITING - Competent: Its a hobby of his as well as a subject he has studied and he enjoys it greatly, often writing poems or bits of fiction to pass the time when bored.
POWERS
DRAIN ENERGY - Enhanced: In order to feed the demon in him Vittore has to inspire lust and desire in others, then he automatically drains some energy from them likely making them feel sleepy or disoriented, he can control this quite well unless its been a long time between feedings.
IMMORTAL - Basic: Thanks to the deal he made with the rogue incubus Larlion, Vittore is now immortal. He cannot die and he will remain forever young and handsome. If he gets maimed his looks will return the next time he 'feeds' on the lust and desires of another, which he has to do regularly to maintain his sanity and power anyway. Of course he can still feel pain and suffer despite his abilities.
MAGIC - Supreme: This includes mostly blood magic spells, and illusions or mind affecting magics. With blood magic he can create runes to enchant items and wards to protect or harm. His mind magics allow him to twist peoples perception of reality a little or a lot depending on thier willpower and to erase or modify their memories. When his demon is at full strength his power is truly exceptional but as the time between feedings grows his magical strength wanes down to its more moderately powerful state.
RITUALS - Enhanced: He has a talent for crafting summoning circles and rituals to bring forth various beings from other places. Unfortunately said beings can be...tricky as he knows quite well now.
ADVANTAGES
MOTORCYCLE Vittore has a Harley-Davidson motorcycle his eldest sister bought him for his sixteenth birthday.
OLD MAGIC FAMILY His family can trace thier magic way back, though whether it was to an ancient vampire mage or to a court demon the family itself can never seem to agree on. They are tight knit group and if a Castell is in trouble then you can bet a small army of other Castells will be there is a flash if needed. They are business oriented for the most part, running several restaurants and a highly popular casino out of Port-Au-Feu that caters to all who can pay.
RICH The Castell family has several businesses that do quite well. They are also an old family with money that goes back generations. Vittore has a very large allowance to draw from as well despite being away from home.
WEAKNESSES
FEEDING THE BEAST The demon inside Vittore requires the energy of others to remain at full power. That energy is lust and desire and to a lesser degree anger. Vittore has to inspire these emotions directly for it to work. The stronger the emotion is and the stronger willed the being is the better. Sometimes Vittore can go a whole week without feeding but that's often pushing it. If he doesn't feed the demon then he becomes erratic, suffering mood swings, fits of rage, blackouts in memory and steadily deteriorating health until he does feed. It won't kill or separate either host or demon but it will disorient and weaken them both, something neither likes.
Curiously, while the demon claims to be an "incubus," its behavior is nothing like a the incubi known in the world of Sangria. They do not have any need for souls and virtually never make soul contracts or possess mortal hosts. Larlion, as he calls himself, is a highly unusual being who seems nothing like an incubus of normal and healthy behavior.
FIRE Ever since the 'accident' that led to Vittore's demon pact he has been completely terrified of fire. While still able to cast fire spells he has sworn them off entirely and stays as far away from fires and fire magic as he can manage. Even the tiniest flame anywhere close to him can make him jumpy and prone to panicking.
VAIN This is Vittore's greatest sin. It was what drove him to make a deal with a demon, to bargin his soul just to regain his looks along with eternal youth and immortality. He feels that without his appearance he is nothing. And he holds a deep seated insecurity that if someone found out what happened they would be disgusted with him, his vanity and ego would not take that well...so he hides the truth as best as he can.
