Born in a future timeline, Matt idolized Batman from a young age. Then, as a teenager, he found out that Batman was his older brother, Terry! To make things even crazier, he learned that, thanks to some whacky science, Bruce Wayne--the OLD Batman--was his genetic father! Inevitably, he found a way to become Robin. A mission has taken him back in time to prevent his world from sliding into a dystopian future, but he's okay with it. He's really loving being a hero in the awesomely retro earlier part of the 21st Century.

Background

Born in a future timeline, Matt grew up in the shadow of his older brother, but he didn't mind. He grew up normally, inheriting musical talents from their mother. He spent most of his grade school years being heavily involved in school. He was a basically happy kid, who never made waves or caused trouble. After his father died, Matt became harder to handle and unruly, and it took him a while to calm down. Matt found a new source of interest when Batman reappeared. It didn't take long for the young teen to become obsessed with anyone who could so boldly control his own fate, and began following up on all Batman's exploits. Then, to his surprise, he later discovered that his own brother, Terry, was the Batman. After this, the clear result in Matt's mind was to become Batman's sidekick, just like that other kid back in the day had been. Eventually, he even learned that he shared Bruce Wayne's genetics, then got training and a costume of his own. Then he got sent back in time to prevent the coming of a dark and dystopian future, and Matt is strangely okay with it. Eventually he'll return to his own timeline, but for now he's really enjoying living in this cool, retro part of the 21st Century.

SKILLS

Acrobatics - Expert Level

Gymnastics and other related sports had been Matt's hobby for years, and the intense training he received from Dick and Bruce was enough to take his amateurish skills and make them advanced. Trained by both Batman himself and Dick Grayson who's one of the world's greatest acrobats, Matt is now quite an advanced expert on his own.

Education - Novice Level

Matt has a first-rate future public school education. He knows the ins and outs of reading and writing, a decent grasp of STEM up to early contemporary college levels, even has a decent grasp of history and social studies.

Martial Arts - Competent Level

Matt is still developing his martial arts skills, but thanks to his mentors he's coming along steadily in this area. Matt is now capable of holding his own against a variety of opponents.

Music - Novice Level

Matt is an excellent guitar player for his age, as well as having a fairly talented voice. He has perfect pitch, and is therefore able to play most music by ear, but he cannot read written music.

Stealth - Competent Level

Stealthy movement and the ability to stay hidden are things that Matt has trained under Batman's guidance. A talent for sleight of hand is involved as well, particularly for palming various gadgetry and whatnot. Basically, Matt is getting pretty good at the sneaky part of the job.

Technology - Expert Level

Years of putting together and taking apart computers and a love of futuristic hacking gives Matt a solid tech background. Improved by the specialized training he received from Batman, he is becoming quite skilled at utilizing the various Bat-gadgets for their specific purposes. Matt has also been using computers almost all his life, and is now quite a masterful computer user, especially with futuristic tech. He's equally able to repair or configure a computer system, hardware or software, but his specialty is breaking into databases without being caught.

ABILITIES

Tech: Cape Glider - Basic Level

The suit's cape is made of a special "memory" fabric, hardening into its winged "glider" shape with the touch of a control, and the tips are weighted with lead for use in combat. The cape can also harden into "wing" shapes to act as shields, able to deflect small arms fire and other small projectiles, as well as energy blasts or flames. The cape, combined with his jet boots, lets him rocket-glide for effective, controlled flight.

Tech: Costume - Enhanced Level

Robin's costume is made of durable materials, but the most important part is the utility belt, which contains a micro force field projector. The field allows him to withstand intense variations in temperatures and also harsh weather conditions, as well as being water-proof. It can take even machine gun fire and survive. The field enhances his strength by a factor of ten, allowing him to lift upwards of 1,500 pounds. The boots and gloves are fire resistant, cold resistant, and shock resistant. His suit also features micro-thrusters in the heels of his boots, in which can send him flying at up to 90 miles per hour. His boots can also be used to adhere to most surfaces, while the gloves can sprout sharp claws from the tips of their fingers, capable of clinging into steel and other known metals. Launchers in his gauntlets can launch batarangs with sufficient force to stun even a tough grown adult.

Tech: Heavy Arsenal - Enhanced Level

Robin's heavy arsenal includes: Batarangs (Electro-shock x5, explosive x5), Batclaw (Grapnel gun used as weapon), and Aerosol sprays (IR paint markers, foaming demolition gel, sealant gel, Ver-Sed knockout/amnesiac).

Tech: Light Arsenal - Basic Level

Robin's basic arsenal includes: Batarangs (Blunt impact x15, Razor edge x15, Shuriken x20, Remote-control x5), Mini-bolas (x5), Caltrops, Pellets (explosive, freezing, smoke, tear gas, knockout gas, regurgitant), Slingshot (fires pellets at range).

Tech: Mask Sensors - Enhanced Level

Robin's mask connects to miniature communications system, linking him to his vehicles, the Batcave, and several other individual communication frequencies (police scanners, radio, etc.); it houses a directional microphone with high-gain antenna (100m range) and micro-speakers tucked just behind his ears. The mask also features Starlight night-vision lenses, a field of view display protector in case of sudden flashes, computer HUD and voice control, and infrared lenses.

Tech: Utility Belt - Basic Level

Robin's utility belt contains: Digital microcamera w/500m zoom, First aid kit, Handcuffs, Laser torch, Mini-computer w/holo-display, Rebreather/gas-mask, Grapnel Gun/jumplines (200m range), Mini crime lab.

Tracers: These are small adhesive discs which operate on a GPS tracking frequency monitored by the Batcomputer. They can be monitored within inches of accuracy unless disabled or shielded from the GPS network.

Universal Tool: Concealed within a compact hammer, this tool kit contains wire cutters/strippers; a diamond-tipped drill; electronic lockpicks and computer port adapters; and screwdrivers, wrench tips, and similar small tools.
