Elijah is intelligent, hard-working, mischevious, and snarky on the outside. On the inside, he's warm, compassionate, and passionate, wanting a desire for a just world and good people. He's more than willing to use his powers to help with this.
Background
Elijah Harris is a Technomage - a magician who tinkers with machinery. He started off in the outskirts of Chicago, Illinois. He found his gift of magic at puberty, with an accident involving blowing up his birthday cake, which will always be remembered in the eyes of his friends as the most awesome birthday he ever had. His parents enrolled him into the Metro School for the magically gifted, where he moved on to the University of St. Louis to continue his magical-studies, and ran across the Techno-Magic Studies major. He enjoys it, but has picked up a longing for bettering himself with traditional magic, as magical aptitude runs through his family (he learned traditional magics from his parents).
He loves taking apart machines and making them run on magic, or hacking a computer through force of will. It comes in handy sometimes, but he's not as good as his more specialized friends. Not that he'd complain much about it - he's having too much fun trying to figure out how things work to care.
SKILLS
ALCHEMY - Competent: Using a mixture of ritual magic, chemistry, and physics, Elijah has learned to alter the properties of objects. Smaller objects or quantities of items can be easily transmuted, and body transformations can be performed within a reasonable amount of time. Specific transformations may have a tendency to backfire, in comparison to more generalized, or simpler alterations, such as body parts.

ABJURATION MAGIC - Enhanced: Using more ethereal magics, Eli can place wards or barriers on a target or location to prevent various objects, beings, substances, or energies from penetrating them. He may repel unwanted advances or attacks, and he may even banish lesser magics or extraplanar beings. This power also allows him to channel raw magic to deflect or dispel magical effects cast by other mages. Of course, while he is supremely powerful and expertly skilled, no one is infallible.

CONJURATION MAGIC - Enhanced: Eli can conjure objects out of ambient magical energy. He can conjure up to 500 pounds of most forms of matter, provided that he understands its structure and properties. More foreign or complex materials or greater amounts may be potentially synthesized under laboratory conditions. The items conjured can be in any shape or configuration, but they cannot be any more complicated than a simple clockwork machine.
Elijah is also capable of creating illusions ranging from simple to complex. These are capable of affecting all mundane senses to an impressive degree, though they might be penetrated by someone with enhanced sensory abilities.
The larger or more complex the conjuring, the more time and effort it takes to create, ranging from instantaneous to a large work spanning days or even weeks that would remain even after he had left the area and stopped paying attention to it. Illusions tend to take less effort to create than physical objects, while physical objects tend to last longer.
EVOCATION MAGIC - Enhanced: Elijah can project sufficient energy to generate or dissipate heat equivalent to instantly take water from freezing to boiling or vice versa, to conjure bolts of lightning, or to whip up a tempest at need. He can project telekinetic force sufficient to levitate large objects, manipulate intricate devices, or shatter stone.
RUNIC MAGIC - Enhanced: Elijah can create magical effects by placing runes upon a target. These runes temporarily alter the state of an object or person, such as to make metal stronger, make a person faster, or allow themselves to see farther. These runic enchantments can also be used to transform targets' shapes or states of being, trigger pre-prepared spells, or other various effects. In everyday use, runic enchantments usually last for up to a few hours day. After that, everything reverts to its normal state. Low-powered and simple spells can be stored in runes, but they need recharging after use.
TECHNOMANCY - Basic: Using his powers, Eli is able to imbue technology with various magical effects and functions. As of yet, he is limited to fairly straightforward results. This means that he can augment or influence the function of simple technology, or he can use fairly simple technological foci and triggers to perform magic that he otherwise knows how to do. He may also influence more advanced technology, such as computers, by simply adjusting them on a small scale, such as magically affecting their programming.
TRANSMUTATION MAGIC - Enhanced: Using his magic, Eli is able to change a larger object into another (such as a chair into a table or a motorcycle into a block of cement) or make extensive alterations to a living creature, up to full-body transformation (such as a human into an animal), with only moderate effort. With an effort, he can also transform living matter to non-living matter without great effort. Using rituals and foci, he might convert matter from a non-living to a living state (a staff to a tree, a wax figure to a living creature), or transmute matter into energy (or back again). Without ritual preparation these effects are usually temporary, lasting up to a few hours, but they can be made to last much longer with advanced preparation or special measures.
