Charles Danvers, once hailing from another universe under another codename. Formerly a human genetically altered to be a warrior of the alien Kree empire. After learning the truth about his origin and that he was merely being used to become a weapon for them, his memory of life on planet Earth was awakened within him. Turning against the Kree, who sought to destroy humanity among other races and planets, he rose to become an interstellar protector. Since coming to Superia, he has come to be known as Warbird, protector of those who cannot protect themselves.
Background
Charles Danvers was born human, he had a great life with his home and family and when he was of age became a US Navy pilot. Enjoying this life and his career in the military made him quite a balanced person, at least until when on a mission with a scientist that his plane was crashed. The scientist then unveiled herself to be a member of an alien race known as the Kree, living as a human on Earth. She handed Charles the duty of protecting hidden alien tech in the form of a micro reactor. The Kree had crashed the plane, and they wanted the tech he was charged with protecting and preventing them from getting their hands on. In a move of desperation, and badly injured from the plane crash, Charles absorbed the reactor to unknown consequence and blacked out.
After this Charles was taken by the Kree to be trained and reprogrammed as a Kree soldier, making his identity quite a mystery, even to himself. After fighting for the Kree as a sort of secret weapon and being exposed to Earth once again, he found the memories of his human life coming back to him. It was then revealed by a representative of an alien race, who faced decimation from the Kree, that Charles was revived using Kree blood. He still retained all of the abilities the alien reactor had given him. Realizing that all along the Kree were not who they portrayed themselves to be, he now found himself defending Earth and lesser alien races from genocide. He would do so for some time, until an accident in space sent him across into the world of Superia.
Establishing himself in this new reality, Charles adopted the codename "Warbird."
SIGNATURE ABILITY
Binary
Binary is Warbird's ultimate form. All of his abilities are dramatically increased from his non-Binary form. This elevates all of Warbird's abilities to their higher levels, as well as enabling his gravity manipulation power. Binary mode must be used sparingly, as it requires quite some time to power up, and it can only be maintained for a short time, and afterward his Energy Fatigue weakness kicks in.
SKILLS
Advanced Tech - Expert Level
|
Being that he has had to work with both human computer systems and advanced Kree technology, his ability to navigate lower tech and human interfaces is quite high, and he has found much technology of other alien races just as easy to learn.
Ammunitions - Competent Level
|
Charles has military training, which included handguns, rifles and a general proficiency with aiming weapons.
He has taken on galactic forces and survived, has saved many worlds from peril, and on Earth he was military trained.
Grappling - Competent Level
|
Charles has found that one has to be able to wrestle with the best if one wants to be a true hero, so he has worked to develop this ability.
Hand to Hand - Competent Level
|
Military training has granted him the ability to fight and practice martial arts at a fully competent level.
Linguistics - Novice Level
|
Using his translator for missions done by the Kree has allowed him to learn to understand tonals and varying amounts of limited knowledge in various human and alien languages.
Piloting - Competent Level
|
As a navy pilot and a Kree soldier, he has experience in piloting both human and alien craft.
ABILITIES
Power: Binary-Gravity Manipulation - Enhanced Level
|
When channeling the power Binary and through his channeling of energy from the stars, Warbird is able to manipulate gravitational fields around himself and around other objects, but this power is only exhibited in Binary form. With this ability, he can use gravitational fields to exert up to a few hundred tons of force.
Power: Cosmic Awareness - Supreme Level
|
Warbird has the ability to sense direct impending threats from vast distances across the galaxy, often remarked as a "7th sense" because of the vastness that the power stretches. It's comparable to "Spidey sense," but on a galactic scale. He has no active control over this power, as the insights simply come unbidden.
Power: Energy Absorbtion - Enhanced Level
|
Warbird absorbs mostly any type of energy used against him, which also helps him in channeling Binary. He himself is powered by the energy of the stars, so it would be wise for those facing him to not use energy weapons or powers against him.
Power: Flight - Enhanced Level
|
Within an atmosphere he can take off and fly at the speed of sound. When operating in outer space, this ability's rating increases to Supreme, allowing him to travel intergalactically.
Power: Invulnerability - Basic+ Level
|
Bullets and basic energy rays won't have much affect on him, but he does have to put in an effort to resist strong energy attacks from other supers. When operating in outer space, this ability's rating increases to Enhanced.
Power: Plasma Blast - Enhanced Level
|
One of his main offensive abilities, the strength of his plasma blasts depends on the concentrated effort emitted. Casually, he can create blasts at an Enhanced level, while with concerted effort he can create blasts at Enhanced+ level. When operating in outer space, this ability's base rating increases to Enhanced+, and with sufficient concentration his blasts can reach the Supreme level.
Power: Super Strength - Enhanced Level
|
Warbird is able to easily bend and manipulate many human metals with ease and can even damage some advanced alien alloys. For instance, in a battle with the Kree he destroyed their mothership by simply flying through it. When operating in outer space, this ability's rating increases to Enhanced+.
ADVANTAGES
Through protecting more planets than just Earth, he has had the benefit of learning about other alien races out in the universe. Though this does not reflect any specific skill or ability, it does generally make him better able to adapt to alien or unusual experiences and phenomena, and it gives him a very broad pool of general knowledge to draw from.
WEAKNESSES
Whenever Warbird goes into Binary mode, he becomes dramatically drained afterward and cannot use any of his powers for a while until rested.
Not all problems need to be solved with brute force, though because of his inexperience sometimes Warbird finds himself in a tussle when it likely could have been talked out.
After being fused with Kree blood and merged with Kree alien DNA, Charles often has difficulty coping with human emotional situations. His human often aligns itself in conflict against his Kree half.
While many energy attacks and powers are useless against Warbird, magic is a particular type of attack which he finds himself extremely vulnerable to.
Charles never chose to establish a secret identity, which can have some advantages, but it doesn't always work in his favor. Living openly as a hero can be difficult for him to handle, given the expectations he must live up to. It is harder for him than normal because, unlike most Earth heroes, he has taken on the responsibility of guarding other planets and species. This can take a strong toll on his personal life balance.
