Haniel

Haniel is not your average angel. He's a fallen angel because he had been theoretically kicked out of the pearly gates of his heaven. Haniel used to be a top notch angel under the archangels of his pantheon, until he got into trouble with the wrong "group" of people, to where his whole life was corrupted. So instead of being a "good" little angel, he turned into a fallen angel; his halo is now tarnished and his wings turned black. Now he is confused at the new, strange world around him.

Personality

Haniel, while growing up, was very kind and caring of others as he had learned in school. "It is always nice to be kind and caring for others," he had thought to himself. During school he would always try to teach the other angels this lesson. It wasn't until he got taken away that he became not so good of an angel, being taken advantage of. Now he is one confused angel. He doesn't know what is right or wrong, or what he is supposed to do.

Background

Haniel was born a good angel, learning to laugh and play and have fun with the other angels of his kind. At a relatively young age he began training, aspiring to achieve high rank, so he learned by going to a school of angelic arts. Here, he learned how to fight, how to fly well, and to maintain his goodness, kindness, and holiness. Haniel was the top ranking of his class when he reached the age of adulthood. That's when everything started to fall apart.

A malicious being from a group inimical to these angels assumed the form of a friend and took advantage of Haniel, corrupting his mentality as well as his body. The others had stopped searching for Haniel after about a month; no one found him until a year later, when his wings had changed color to blackish gray. Haniel reveled in pain, his body broken from being used and his mind staggered and addled in its attempts to deal with such a harrowing experience. Haniel was banished from his former home, without an explanation to what had happened. Thus, he had fallen and his contract broken.

STAFF: Expert - Haniel has been practicing with a staff for most of his life, since he was young.

ABILITIES

BLACK SPIRAL STAFF: Enhanced-level Gear - The Staff of the Black Spiral is the weapon of choice for Haniel. The entire staff is black, and its length is almost as tall as Haniel himself. The top of the staff is coiled around what looks like a dark blue crystal, while the bottom ends at a rounded point. When used in combat, it illuminates a dark purple energy that surrounds it, allowing him to channel orbs of dark-aligned mystic energy and fling them towards whomever is in his way. As a powerful spiritual artifact, the staff is very resistant to being damaged.

ANGELIC-SENSES: Enhanced-level Power - Haniel has the ability to sense things that most others cannot: these include specifically angelic things, and they do give him the ability to sense a variety of other supernatural phenomena which typically escape the average human perceptions.

FLYING: Enhanced-level Power - Haniel is still an angel with wings, and still has the ability to fly.

ADVANTAGES

LANGUAGE - He has the ability to be able to understand languages, no language barrier here.

WEAKNESSES

BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF - Haniel gets confused easily and so he gets taken advantage of quite easily; even if he is supposed to be on the bad side of things, the bad guys take advantage of him too.

MORAL UNCERTAINTY - Since being corrupted, he became confused in a number of ways -- most of all, he doesn't know which side he really belongs to: good or evil.
