The planet Maxima Ceres Prime is located far from Earth, though the two are joined by a hyperspace lane as part of the Hypernet. The space colony Starhome, home to the Galactic Explorers Alliance Starfleet (GEAS) operates in geosynchronous orbit above the planet. Other orbital structures include the planetary defense stations and satellites, and on the far side of Maxima Ceres, the Alliance shipyards.
