The "Otherworld" is a catch-all term for realms beyond the normal realm, where Earth is located (which often leads to it being called the "Earth-realm" or some variation of the term).

Faërie and the Dreamlands are examples of areas of the Otherworld.

  • The Otherworld can be entered in spirit-form via Astral Projection.
  • The Astral Plane exists, like the Ways, between the Earth-realm and the Otherworld.
  • The Otherworld can be traversed via the Ways, paths that skim the edge of reality, allowing one to travel between stable connecting points on Earth; this can allow one to travel great distances on Earth in very little time.
  • The Otherworld is occupied by many and varied mythical creatures, as well as bordering the lands of the Fae, making it a highly dangerous place.
  • The Afterlife can be considered part of the Otherworld.
