Jason Lee Scott

Given the abilities of the Red Ranger by the Red Power Crystal, Jason now is beginning to understand what his role in this world is. Along with the new abilities he has, come a heavy burden of responsibility, but the feeling that he is not the only one tasked with such duties weighs heavily on him. This is why he has decided to seek out other selected individuals who have been selected by Power Crystals on the planet to form earths defense against evil. The Mighty Morphing Power Rangers.

Personality

A natural born leader, Jason is always ready to jump into action, but strufggles with having the full confidence of an experienced leader, and as such can sometimes come across as arrogant about his own skills. He understands the broader points of leadership, but with time will have to learn to fine tune those mechanics in dealing with others.

Background

It was almost overnight, one day he was a normal guy, and then the next he was bestowed the Red power crystal, and the gifts of a Ranger. A ranger, now dutied with protecting the earth from any threat that violates the peace currently kept. As the Red Ranger, he has the feeling that he cannot possibly be the only one to protect the whole world, and is keeping an eye out for any of those around him that might exhibit the special abilities he has come to claim as one of the Protectors of the Earth, a Mighty Morphing Power Ranger.

SKILLS

Athletics - Competent Level

Future Tech - Novice Level

Using everything from his powersuit to the Zord he pilots has allow Jason knowledge of advanced tech that is far beyond what the average person encounters on Earth.

Grappling - Competent Level

Lifelong martial arts training has ensured that Jason knows how to throw down on the mat.

Hand-To-Hand - Competent Level

His mixed martial arts training ensures that he is no stranger to trading blows unarmed. His particular area of speciality is in Muay Thai.

Marksmanship - Novice Level

Jason is fairly new to using the Power Blaster that comes as part of the Red Ranger's gear. He may need a few more lessons to get more reliable accuracy in his aim.

Northern Shaolin - Competent Level

Although a mixed martial arts practitioner, Jason takes pride in his Northern Shaolin fighting style which features aggressive extensions of both the hands and the feet.

Swordsmanship - Competent Level

With all his training throughout his life he has trained in short sword battle, and is comfortable holding a blade in battle.

ABILITIES

Tech: Dinozord - Enhanced+ Level

The battle bot for the Red Ranger is usually summoned when things need to be handled on a larger scale. It has Enhanced+ level strength and durability, as well as Enhanced level agility.

Power: Enhanced Agility - Enhanced Level

As the Red Ranger, Jason has Enhanced-level agility and finds that various physical feats now come easier to him. Though not able to fly, he is able to jump a span of very long distances.

Power: Enhanced Strength - Basic+ Level

Imbued with the power of the red power crystal, Jason finds himself able to perform feats of strength that normal humans would struggle with. He can lift up to 25 tons without strain,

Tech: Powersuit - Basic+ Level

The powersuit for the Red Ranger increases invulnerability up to Basic+ levels, includes communication module, blaster and power sword. A holographic output on his helmet, visible to only the wearer, allows him to monitor an advanced display when he is suited up.

Tech: Power Blaster - Enhanced Level

Jason has a handy gun that helps him eliminate baddies, dealing Enhanced-level damage as an energy weapon.

Tech: Power Morpher - Basic Level

This is the device that Jason uses to transform into the Red Power Ranger.

Tech: Power Sword - Enhanced Level

With the powersuit comes this handy sharp thing that he just happens to have prior training in, his short sword. It deals up to Enhanced-level damage when wielded with sufficient accuracy.

ADVANTAGES

Red Ranger

As the Red Ranger, Jason has advantages that come with his position, such as access to his various technology, use of the Power Rangers' headquarters, and the support of his teammates.

WEAKNESSES

Fiery Temper

Jason has no problem running into battle to prove a point; sometimes this works against him when things could be talked out, or battle avoided.

Foodie

Maybe not a true weakness, but sometimes...just sometimes Jason would rather be eating pizza and an ice cold Coke rather than discussing battle plans.

New Leader

Jason is still new to and acclimating to his gifts, much less leading a team of teen super heroes that battle earth for a living. He struggles with this at times, but he tries to remain balanced.
