Since our setting involves the idea of multiple worlds, somewhat akin to the DC Comics concept known as HypertimeReminder: The game does not treat every aspect of every source as canon. Click here to refer to the game's theme and canon guidelines!, the idea of characters moving between worlds is almost inevitable. To that end, where appropriate, staff has partnered with the admins of other games with sufficiently compatible themes, creating conceptual bridges that allow characters to coexist with shared continuity across both our game and those other games. These characters are known as Visitors. Visitors, however, are not necessarily Travelers; just become they came to one of our game worlds from a sufficiently compatible world does not mean that they would fit in to all of our game worlds. To that end, a Visitor may also be a Traveler, but one does not necessarily imply the other.

Please note that while Wilde Adventures MUSH is generally a game focused on male characters with an eye toward creating a haven for gay-oriented role-play, we do allow thematically appropriate non-male characters as Visitor characters. While we normally limit non-male characters to emitted NPC status, we do not believe it would be fair to allow Visitors from other games but then discriminate based on gender. As such, non-male Visitor characters are allowed under the guidelines noted below.

If you would like to create a Visitor character, please contact staff before proceeding unless otherwise noted below so we can make sure the character will work here.

Visiting Worlds

At present, the following are worlds where Visitor characters are known to hail from.

HyperMUX

HyperMUX

Website: http://www.youngunity.com/HyperMUX

HyperMUX is a consent-based, TinyMUX-based superhero-themed role-playing game, based solely in a version of the DC Comics Universe. The game follows comics canon up until a specific cutoff point, the World War 3 JLA StorylineReminder: The game does not treat every aspect of every source as canon. Click here to refer to the game's theme and canon guidelines!, circa June 2007. Similarly to Wilde Adventures MUSH (and as Hyper's own name suggests), they use the idea of DC Comics concept known as HypertimeReminder: The game does not treat every aspect of every source as canon. Click here to refer to the game's theme and canon guidelines! to explain characters moving between realities, and they allow players the opportunity to explore alternate universe characters (such as those outside of their established canon). Hyper creates characters using the MEGS RPG system, so some translation is required to make them work in WAM's more trait-based system. If you're interested in adapting a Hyper character for WAM, just contact staff. (Also, if you're interested in having one of your appropriate characters from WAM visit Hyper, we can help you get started on that, too!)

Characters from Hyper are generally suitable for WAM's Superia setting. Their world of origin is noted as Earth Hyper-Prime.

Before the Dawn MUX

Before the Dawn MUX

Website: https://beforethedawn.fandom.com/

Before the Dawn MUX is a consent-based, TinyMUX-based role-playing game with a modern fantasy theme. The game encourages both original and feature characters, incorporating and drawing from a variety of sources, such as The 13th Hour (Friday the 13th, the series), American Horror Story: Coven, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Charmed, The Dresden Files, Supernatural, Teen Wolf, the Twilight Saga, Twin Peaks, and more. For the purposes of Visitors, Before the Dawn exists on the west coast of the United States, while the local areas of Sangria exist in the area of New England on the United States east coast. BtD characters use a traits system almost identical to WAM's own, so characters can transfer from game to game with virtually no difficulty. If you have a character on BtD and would like them brought over, just contact staff. (And, of course, many characters from Sangria may also be able to transfer over to BtD, as well.)

Characters from Before the Dawn are generally suitable for WAM's Sangria setting. Some characters from Sangria may not be suitable for Before the Dawn (and potentially vice versa) for various reasons, so just contact staff to find out if the transfer is possible for your character. Be sure to check out the source guidelines for Sangria for important information about how various canonical sources may interact.
