The son of the Warlord of Skartaris, dimensional wanderer and would-be hero. Joshua is a crusader in search of a cause. Or causes.

Personality

A combination of 21st century slacker and fantasy world minor noble. He's friendly, kind and genuinely feels a need protect people. On the other hand, he's also cocky, considers himself of 'noble blood' and tends to problem solve in ways more akin to a renaissance courtier, rather than a straight forward dude bro. 'Good' does not always mean 'nice' or 'honest'.

Background

Joshua has a screwed up childhood, but not one that has left him too traumatized to enjoy life. His father and mother were the rulers of a 'hollow world' pocket dimension called Skartaris, though his father, Travis Morgan, the Warlord, is a native of Earth 1. Shortly after Josh's birth, he was kidnapped by his father's nemesis, Deimos the Sorcerer, who intended to raise him to kill his parents, raising him in yet another pocket realm with slow time compared to Skartaris.

Deimos's plans were derailed when Josh's sister, Jennifer, who is a sorceress of cosmic power, found him and brought him out of captivity, aged up older than him because of the time difference. Jennifer did not, take Josh back home. One of her gifts is Chronomancy and her view of the future allowed her to see that if Joshua and Travis were reunited, Josh would kill his father. To avoid that fate, Jennifer moved Josh through the multiverse, keeping him ahead of Deimos and the Warlord's other enemies.

Raised in fantasy worlds, modern day worlds, worlds with superheroes and more, Josh has been fostered and trained by a series of martial arts and magic experts. Jennifer's hope is to one day have him come home as a protector of the realm... after the current Warlord dies of old age. It is a bit bitter being an exile but Josh is well aware of the amazing advantages of his lineage and upbringing. His father is a hero and thus Josh wants to be one as well, upholding a legacy that he idolizes from afar.

Josh has been training for conflict, physical and mental, for his entire life. This includes acrobatics, endurance, running, jumping, etc.

He's been trained by masters, sifus and senseis across several worlds.

Lots of enthusiasm and a sense of rhythm. Not much else.

Thanks to his sister, he has a solid grounding in magic and the occult.

ABILITIES

Training: Agility - Enhanced Level

Thanks to years of martial arts, acrobatics and athletics training, Josh has a sense of balance and physical agility and dexterity similar to those of world class gymnasts and martial artists.

Item: Armor - Enhanced Level

Joshua's Armor is enchanted to be instantly wearable, deploying from his belt buckle like Flash's suit from his ring. It is made of mystically charged materials capable of stopping small arms fire (up to 9mm or a crossbow bolt) but particularly strong or skilled foes can still get past it.

Magic: Battle Magic - Enhanced Level

Fireballs and levin-bolts, magic shields, and mystically created hand to hand weapons, this type of magic is instinctive and potent for Josh. He's trained to fight with any tool he has.

Magic: Dimensional Portals - Basic Level

Thanks to his sister Jennifer, Joshua has learned to create gateways between worlds. Usually they go where he wants. Usually.

Magic: Senses - Enhanced Level

Joshua has a set of semi-permanent enchantments, including expanded senses of hearing, sight and smell, to be better in tune with his environment.

Magic: Sorcery - Basic Level

From telekinesis to scrying to cleaning spells, Josh has a limited grasp of 'general' magic.

Josh has the power to help, so he has the responsibility to help. He considers that the burden and privilege of his heritage.

Shifting Sickness

For the first few minutes after using one of his portals, Josh is usually dizzy, weak and vulnerable. That might clear as (if) he gets better at creating them.

Trust Issues

Not the obnoxious 'I must be alone' variety. Josh likes company and makes friends easily. But deep trust is hard for him, given that he was kidnapped as a baby, held hostage and cycled through a dozen 'foster' situations as a kid.
