He might make metal stronger, make a person faster, or allow himself to see farther. Enchantments can also be used to transform targets' shapes or states of being, such as transfiguring objects or creatures into entirely new forms. Using more ethereal magics, wards can be placed on a target or location to prevent various objects, beings, substances, or energies from penetrating them. If he can otherwise create a magical effect, then he can also apply that effect to a target as an enchantment. In everyday use, enchantments usually last for up to a single day. After that, everything reverts to its normal state. | <strong>MENTALISM</strong> - ''Basic'': Mentalism is a common power among many types of dragons, and Mal is quite accomplished at basic telepathy and mental communication. However, he has never delved much into manipulation, mental coercion, or the darker mental arts. Preferring to treat the minds of others as sacrosanct, this is a type of magic that he understands and can use but has avoided developing much beyond the basics.

| <strong>SPIRITUALISM</strong> - ''Basic'': While Mallory can interact with spirits in various ways, he does not care much for those magics. He has established a working basic knowledge of various magic for interacting or affecting spiritual beings, but apart from wards or the like he has not delved deeply into these waters. Perhaps this is because the spirit-world is the realm that seduced Mallory's own father away from the physical worlds, and Mal prefers a different fate.

| <strong>TRANSLOCATION</strong> - ''Enhanced'': An experienced traveler of the Worlds, Mallory is able to translocate himself quite effectively. He can cross physical distances up to hundreds of miles instantly, and it takes only a moderate effort for him to open doorways between the various Worlds. Traveling to particularly distant or obscure realms, such as the Underworld or the realms of various gods, would take a great deal more effort and likely advanced preparation.

| <strong>VITAMANCY</strong> - ''Basic'': Mallory can channel magic for minor healing effects, subtle alterations to life forms (without the need of enchantment, which is generally much more temporary), or other typical applications of life-magic. He also has a general knowledge and ability with necromancy, but he has never cared much for it. As he is much more capable of brewing potions to achieve such effects, he has not particularly developed this ability.

| <strong>CASTLE OF DELIGHTS</strong> The Castle of Delights is a magical palace located in the depths of the Enchanted Forest, accessible from many mysterious places in the deep forests of the various Worlds. The castle is ancient, a great deal older than Mallory himself, but he was granted dominion over the castle by its previous owner. The castle is a virtually impregnable magical fortress whose power shields him and sustains him, making attacking him there quite a fool's errand, but in exchange he must also offer hospitality and the delights of the castle to anyone who is able to find it. Even in Mallory's absence, the castle is always open to visitors who come in peace and behave respectfully.
